Leadership of the Sisters of St. Dorothy in Europe Meet in Sintra to Project the Future of Education

Between May 14 and 16, 2026, the Linhó Spirituality House in Sintra (Portugal) hosted the European Leadership Meeting of the Educational Centers of the Sisters of St. Dorothy. Organized by the Educating Team, the event brought together 58 participants—including Sisters and laypeople from Portugal, Spain, Italy, and Malta—who serve as General Directors, Pedagogical Directors, Coordinators, and Pastoral delegates.
The meeting, held in a natural setting ideal for reflection, had two main goals: to launch and spiritually illuminate the pastoral theme for the 2026/2027 academic year, and to strengthen alignment around a co-created and celebrated Educator profile.
“Together we share a common mission. We are stronger and go further in the mission of educating and serving an evangelizing education rooted in a charismatic identity.”
The initiative reinforced that the union among sisters, laypeople, staff, families, and students creates the synergy needed to overcome differences and challenges. The group returns renewed in their mission to build solutions and pathways to gradually construct a “common home” guided by acceptance and love for one another.
